What Happens at Your First Visit?
Your first appointment usually takes about an hour. When you arrive, we begin with a short intake at the front desk. We’ll then take you back for X-rays, an oral cancer screening, a hygiene appointment, and a thorough dental exam. With every check-up, we include a short, painless oral cancer screening.
Creating a Child-Friendly Experience
Dental visits do not have to be stressful for kids. Children of all ages are at home in our practice, our waiting area has gaming consoles for kids, and we've created a calm, gentle space to help young patients feel safe. For parents, it’s comfortable knowing all your family’s needs are looked after in one place.
Routine and Preventive Care
We encourage twice-yearly hygiene visits, X-rays, and exams to catch and address concerns early. This preventive approach helps keep small dental problems from becoming bigger issues down the line.
Cosmetic and Restorative Options
Many families appreciate having cosmetic options available alongside preventive care. We include complimentary in-office whitening for adults with every check-up, and can provide veneers, bonding, contouring, and Invisalign if you wish. Our restorative care includes crowns, bridges, dentures, dental implants, and only mercury-free fillings using composite or ceramic materials.
Specialty Treatments and Emergency Care
If you or your child experience jaw pain, grinding, or sports-related needs, we offer custom night and sport guards, as well as TMJ diagnosis and treatment.
We provide same-day emergency appointments, call ahead during business hours and, in most cases, we can see you the same afternoon. For anxious patients or longer procedures, both oral and inhaled sedation are available, and you only need to mention your preference when booking.
Costs, Insurance, and Billing
We understand the importance of affordability. We direct-bill most insurance plans, so you only pay the portion your plan doesn’t cover at the end of your visit, if any. Our fees are consistently below the Alberta Dental Fee Guide, and for larger or longer-term treatment plans we give you a clear written estimate before starting.
